A Fortuna native, Kim graduated from Humboldt State University in 2002 with a teaching credential in physical education.  She went on to work at College of the Redwoods before making the career change into real estate.

In her free time, she runs around with her husband of 11 years and two young children.  They enjoy the festivals and beauty of Humboldt in the summer and the mild temperatures in the winter.  Her hobbies include projects at home, reading for book club, jogging or walking around town, organizing pick up games of flag football, listening to music, or having coffee with friends.
